ART 343 - Digital Fabrication (3 units) Exploration of issues and practices for 2D and 3D digital fabrication and mixed media applications. Processes covered may include: laser engraving, 3D printing, 3D modeling, and CNC cutting.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. conduct practice-based research utilizing technology as a medium for critical exploration and the creation of digital artwork. 2. apply and integrate analog and digital methods for creative production. 3. interpret and articulate critical issues and experimental practices in contemporary art making. 4. apply experiential competency in digital fabrication and presentation. 5. discuss and critique the creative practices of themselves and others with fluency.
