CEE 482 - Design of Timber Structures (3 units) Fundamentals of design of timber structures and application to simple structures.
Prerequisite(s): CEE 381 with a “C” or better.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 2. communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 3. function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
