CHE 361 - Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics (3 units) Application of basic concepts from thermodynamics to chemical and molecular systems; chemical reaction and phase equilibria; estimation of thermophysical properties; ideal and non-ideal systems.
Prerequisite(s): CHE 234 with a “C” or better OR CHE 332 with a “C” or better; CHEM 421 ; MATH 283 with a “C” or better.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
