CHS 753 - Health Informatics (3 units) Introduction to the use of information and information technology in public health and health services. (CHS 753 and NURS 748 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze quantitative data using informatics. 2. implement data management techniques using SAS or other statistical software. 3. construct epidemiologic models using statistical programming. 4. investigate informatics methods and resources as strategic tools to promote public health.
