Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. identify the primary criminological and criminal justice theories.
2. articulate the impact specific historical eras had on the creation of crime research leading to the criminological theories of that same period.
3. articulate, through both presentations and papers, an understanding of classic and contemporary research pieces.
4. articulate and defend a position on a topic of interest to the field of Criminal Justice.
5. apply each of the main criminological theories to a specific crime problem, and articulate, through presentations and papers, appropriate policies to address that crime problem.
