Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. connect theory and practice related to writing feedback/responding to writing. 2. conduct inquiry into students’ difficulties with writing and apply insight gained to generate feedback. 3. learn and apply feedback methods appropriate for writers from different backgrounds, learning styles, and levels of writing proficiency. 4. describe and apply ethical principles of writing as well as supporting writers in their development. 5. collaborate effectively with other writers. 6. analyze, evaluate, and guide revision of written texts with problems including audience and purpose, development, global/local organization, integration of sources and documentation, logical connections, academic conventions, and style. 7. perform a variety of writing, consulting, research, and critical thinking tasks more effectively.
