GEOG 700 - History and Nature of Geography (3 units) Various schools of thought, paradigms and trends within geography. Relation of geography to other disciplines. Development of concepts and methods for geographic research.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. discuss and evaluate relevant literature of the history and nature of Geography. 2. apply geographical theory and geographical concepts of the history and nature of Geography. 3. apply geographic concepts and principles to their area of interest.
