Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. explain the interaction of global geological processes, ocean, and atmospheric circulation. 2. analyze the processes and scientific data involving climate and sea level change. 3. evaluate ecological principles controlling life in the marine environment. 4. determine how ocean processes have impacted climate and biodiversity of life through the history of Earth. 5. compare how international policies influence ocean resources, cultural heritage, and environmental justice of indigenous populations.
