NURS 343 - Nursing Care of the Individual I: Theory (3 units) Uses critical analyses and clinical reasoning to plan individualized care in the acute care settings for diverse individuals. Focus on safety and complication avoidance. Explores the nurse’s role on the interprofessional team.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze client data and presentation to prioritize care needs. 2. develop an individualized plan to provide safe care. 3. evaluate client response to plan of care to guide future interventions. 4. recognize potential complications to anticipate interventions. 5. develop professional nursing practice and self-advocacy strategies.
