ME 350 - Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (3 units) Topics include CAD; drafting standards; GD&T; CNC machining; 3D printing; introduction to manufacturing processes; fasteners, gears, belts. A hands-on group design project is required.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 283 with “C” or better. Corequisite(s): ENGR 100 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
