BME 490 - Biomedical Projects Laboratory (3 units) To introduce students to bioengineering techniques that span across multiple scales from molecules to organisms. The course will focus on developing and utilizing sensors, processing sensory data, and modeling biological systems.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 224L ; EE 320 ; EE 362 ; STAT 352 . Corequisite(s): CPE 301 ; ENGR 301 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. 3. communicate effectively. 4. recognize the need for, and be able to engage in, life-long learning. 5. use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
