ENG 499D - Senior Experience: Writing for Professional Clients (3 units) CO14 Students will learn how to analyze and meet the writing needs of a specific professional client. The class will help students develop a theoretical and practical understanding of professional writing contexts. A key part of the learning experience will be working closely with a professional partner in a workplace context, receiving feedback and revising accordingly.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 301 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply research, writing, and oral communication skills in a professional setting to facilitate a writing project for a client. 2. analyze the rhetorical situation surrounding the professional writing needs of specific clients. 3. demonstrate professionally relevant writing and communication competencies and relationships in a professional setting.
