APST 667 - Applied Data Analysis and Visualization (3 units) Introduction to how to use elementary programing techniques, coding, cleaning data, performing statistical analysis, and visualizing data in R.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. import quantitative data into R and prepare data for analysis. 2. use code to efficiently conduct statistical analyses. 3. visualize data and statistical results. 4. report and effectively communicate statistical results. 5. identify secondary data (or one’s own research data), clean/analyze it, and prepare a manuscript suitable for presentation at a professional conference and/or publication.
