IMSE 468 - Engineering Statistics (3 units) This course provides an introduction to statistical methods commonly used in engineering applications. Topics covered include probability theory, random variables, statistical inference, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and quality control. Emphasis is placed on the application of these methods to real-world problems in engineering.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies. 3. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
