GEOG 409 - GIS Design Studio (3 units) CO13 Design course applying GIS knowledge and skills, acquired through experience and course work, to real world research and practical problems.
Maximum units a student may earn: 3
Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing; completion of Core Objectives 1-3 and three of Core Objectives 4-8; GEOG 405 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify and evaluate methods and tools for analysis and interpretation of geo-spatial data. 2. apply appropriate geo-spatial technologies to solve problems within their area of interest. 3. communicate the results and findings of geo-spatial analyses in written, verbal, or graphical formats. 4. integrate and synthesize Core knowledge, enabling them to analyze open-ended problems or complex issues.
