Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. use therapeutic communication techniques with simulated clients to gather subjective assessment data and foster a nurse-client relationship. 2. perform a health assessment on a simulated client using assessment techniques to collect objective data. 3. demonstrate evidence-based techniques to perform fundamental nursing skills. 4. apply techniques to perform assessments on clients and populations across settings. 5. use health care information technologies to perform an assessment, collect data and document assessment findings.
