NURS 453 - Nursing Care of the Individual III: Theory

Uses critical analyses and clinical reasoning in caring for diverse individuals with complex acute disease processes. Focuses on professional nursing practice including accountability for care coordination and interprofessional collaboration. Reinforces safety and complication recognition.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. synthesize client data and presentation to prioritize care needs.
2. prioritize changes in client condition to optimize client outcomes.
3. develop an individualized plan that collaborates with the client and support systems to provide comprehensive safe care.
4. evaluate client response to plan of care to respond to immediate need for interventions.
