HIST 440A - The Cuban Revolution (3 units) CO10, CO11, CO13 In this course, we will examine the Cuban Revolution’s causes, course, and consequences.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. describe the perceptions, viewpoints, or life experiences of Cubans and Cuban-Americans. 2. analyze the historical, international, racial, and economic dynamics of the Cuban Revolution. 3. evaluate the success of the Cuban Revolution in increasing Cuba’s racial, economic, and sexual equity. (CO10) 4. evaluate and explain historical interpretations of the social, international, racial, and economic dynamics of the Cuban Revolution. 5. analyze the different local, national, and international contexts involved in the Cuban Revolution Americas (CO11) 6. show insight or new knowledge by identifying gaps in previous literature and/or through research design.
