PSC 406A - Cybersecurity and International Relations (3 units) CO9 Cybersecurity and International Relations examines how the rise of new communications technologies and the Internet have affected international relations.
Prerequisite(s): PSC 231 or CS 151
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. discuss the theoretical basis for how Internet technologies influence international relations. 2. articulate how in practice international relations has been affected by Internet technologies. 3. identify the domestic and international approaches to the challenges of Internet technologies, including: cyberwarfare, cybercrime, and cyberterrorism. 4. demonstrate proficiency in politically analyzing cybersecurity problems through class exercises.
