Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate the ability to clearly, cogently, and succinctly express ideas in writing.
2. explain the principles of constitutional government as practiced in the United States and Nevada.
3. describe the impact of the US and Nevada constitutions on selected healthcare topics.
4. evaluate the ways in which state and federal health laws and regulations are developed, implemented, and enforced.
5. synthesize health policy literature to analyze trends and events affecting healthcare.
6. analyze public and private healthcare reimbursement strategies as they apply to the care of individuals with diverse healthcare needs.
7. critique the economic impact of U.S. and global healthcare delivery systems.
8. apply quality improvement principles in healthcare delivery.
