ENGR 305 - Introduction to Sustainability (3 units) CO9 Introduction to sustainability principles through multidisciplinary topics; understanding the impacts of sustainable practices in societal contexts; communicating knowledge of sustainability topics with presentations and written reports; researching solutions to create a more sustainable society.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgements, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. 2. communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
