CS 621 - Human-Robot Interaction (3 units) This course explores the principles and techniques behind programming robots for effective and intuitive human-robot interaction (HRI). Students will learn how to design, develop, and evaluate interactive robotic systems that can seamlessly interact with humans in various contexts. The course will cover topics such as robot perception, cognition, and communication, as well as techniques for designing robot behaviors, interfaces, and user experiences to enhance human-robot interaction.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex computing or engineering problems by applying principles of computing, engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. design, implement, and evaluate a computing or engineering solution to meet a given set of requirements, with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 3. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 4. apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline.
