Philosophy, Minor

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs in the College of Liberal Arts

The general-track minor in philosophy offers a broad introduction to the philosophical exploration of fundamental questions about knowledge, perception, reality, truth, and value, with applications fanning out over logic, metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of science, and moral and political theory. It is an ideal complement for a career in law, science, history, literature, and other professions that stress theory and analysis.

Students majoring in another field may minor in general philosophy by completing the requirements outlined below. Philosophy majors may not use either philosophy minor to fulfill their minor requirements.
