Students majoring in another field may minor in political science by completing at least 21 credits in an area of study. They can choose from four interest subjects: general, foreign affairs, public administration and public policy, and American government.
The American government minor in political science focuses on the political behavior and interactions of public political institutions in the United States. Courses in the minor examine such topics as the various levels and branches of government, campaigns and elections, political interest groups, public opinion, and political identities.
