Political Science (Foreign Affairs), Minor

Students majoring in another field may minor in political science by completing at least 21 credits in an area of study. They can choose from four interest subjects: general, foreign affairs, public administration and public policy, and American government.

The foreign affairs minor in political science allows students to draw comparisons between socio-political, economic, and cultural entities and forces between and within countries, and to examine the interactions, cooperation, and conflict among and between states and non-state actors. Coursework in the minor provides students opportunities to learn about political institutions and organizations, political behavior across state venues, international relations, foreign policy, international law and organizations, human rights, and other aspects of global affairs.
