Environmental Science (Sustainable Outdoor Recreation Management Specialization), B.S.

The Environmental Science specialization in Sustainable Outdoor Recreation Management is designed for students passionate about both environmental conservation and outdoor recreation. This specialized track combines core principles of environmental science with the management and sustainability practices essential for outdoor recreational areas. Students enrolled in this program will gain a comprehensive understanding of ecological systems, environmental policy, conservation biology, and natural resource management. Additionally, they will focus on the planning, development, and sustainable management of outdoor recreational spaces. This Specialization is structured so that students can readily earn a Minor in Business Administration if they choose. Graduates of this program will be well-prepared for careers in park management, eco-tourism, conservation advocacy, and environmental consulting, among others.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- demonstrate critical thinking skills by assessing a problem, gathering and analyzing relevant information associated with that problem, and proposing possible solutions.
