Ecohydrology is a new integrative science that involves finding solutions to issues surrounding water, people, and the environment. The Minor in Ecohydrology emphasizes the hydrological cycle and its effects on ecological processes and human well-being.

I. Program Requirements (19-21 units)

Students must complete the following courses:

GEOL 101 - General Geology (4 units) CO4L
NRES 217 - Natural Resource Ecology (3 units) OR
BIOL 314 - Ecology and Population Biology (3 units) CO9, CO11
NRES 295 - Wildlands Hydrology (3 units)
NRES 322 - Soils (3 units)
NRES 482 - Small Watershed Hydrology (4 units) CO14

Students must select one of the following courses:

BIOL 420 - Aquatic Ecology (3 units) OR
BIOL 472 - Limnology (3 units) OR
NRES 406 - Ecophysiology of Forest & Range Plants (4 units) OR
NRES 422 - Soil Physics (3 units) OR
NRES 440 - Wetland and Riparian Systems (3 units)
