The Outdoor Adventure and Leadership (ODAL) Minor in the Kinesiology Department in the School of Public Health offers students curriculum in outdoor leadership, recreation, and stewardship that positions graduates for careers in the growing outdoor education and recreation economy. Courses include a range of field experiences and leadership opportunities in the Sierra Nevada, Great Basin, and Lake Tahoe Region.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to:
- demonstrate the technical, environmental, and interpersonal/intrapersonal skills leading a group in nature while evaluating appropriate safety.
- demonstrate and evaluate the facilitation and problem-solving skills to engage themselves and others in nature.
- Students will apply decision making and professional ethics necessary to engage themselves and others in nature.

Students majoring in another field may complete a minor in Outdoor Adventure Leadership (ODAL).
