CEE 428 - Urban Engineering (3 units) Planning and design of industrial, public and residential developments. Initial site design and layout; entitlements; on site/off site engineering; submittal process; proposal preparation; public hearing.
Prerequisite(s): CEE 362 ; CEE 364 . Recommended Preparation: CEE 413 ; CEE 442 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 2. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
