GRI 452 - Senior Thesis II (3 units) CO14 Preparation of written thesis for the major in Gender, Race, and Identity.
Prerequisite(s): GRI 103 ; GRI 451 ; 3 additional units in GRI/WMST; and Junior or Senior standing.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply critical thinking skills to issues of gender, race, and/or other facets of social and cultural identity, inequality, and difference. 2. articulate an original research question to pursue in a research project. 3. design, develop, and complete appropriate tasks to conduct the research project. 4. express ideas clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing. 5. write the results of the research study in a format appropriate to the academic discipline(s) that inform the student’s project.
