IMSE 420 - Lean Manufacturing and Logistics (3 units) Lean Manufacturing and Logistics is a course that teaches the principles of Lean manufacturing and logistics, including waste reduction, process improvement, and supply chain management. Students will learn practical skills through case studies, simulations, and exercises to apply Lean concepts and tools to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable business success.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulae and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 3. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
