ART 102 - Drawing II (3 units) This intermediate drawing course builds on the ideas and skills introduced in Drawing I and prepares students for upper-division courses. It is designed to help students further develop their personal artistic voices through various drawing approaches, focusing on composition, color, and abstraction.
Maximum units a student may earn: 3
Prerequisite(s): ART 100 or ART 103A or ART 103B ; ART 101 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Laboratory/Studio: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. visualize ideas through effective composition, color theory, abstraction, and technical drawing skills. 2. apply the development of an individual drawing language that conveys personal visions and ideas. 3. demonstrate the conceptual use of forms to analyze visual communication during art critiques.
