ART 301 - Interdisciplinary Drawing

(3 units)
This interdisciplinary course focuses on the process of art-making as a way of thinking and expression to expand one’s personal artistic voice. It expands the definitions and principles of drawing beyond their traditional sense.

Maximum units a student may earn: 3

Prerequisite(s): ART 100  or ART 103A  or ART 103B ; ART 101 ; ART 365 ; one additional lower-division studio course.

Grading Basis: Graded
Units of Laboratory/Studio: 3
Offered: Every Fall

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate an expanded artistic voice in the creation of visual artwork.
2. integrate historical and contemporary artistic context and theory into projects, verbal critique, and written reflection.
3. analyze and evaluate artistic processes and ideas in critiques and written form.
